Hooray! It’s only 2 weeks until GloPoWriMo and NaPoWriMo. I’m looking forward to reading your poetry on WordPress next month.
I just wanted to let you know that I will not be posting writing prompts this year, as
I have other priorities and I also want to concentrate on taking part in the month-long challenge.
If you find yourself stuck for prompts, you can still find my GloPoWriMo prompts from 2018 on my blog. I also post writing prompts on TWITTER every Monday. These are offered via shared artworks, photographs, videos, and short animated films.
Good luck with the challenge.
Suzanne

What a busy month it’s been. I hope that you have found some of the photo prompts appealing and inspiring during the global poetry writing challenge. It’s been a pleasure selecting them for you and reading your work.
My usual Monday Motivation writing prompts, (a variety of words and images), will recommence from May, on Twitter at 06:30 and 17:00 (UK time) at OlivantePoetry
Happy writing and my best wishes,

I wanted to share with you a very exciting BookTrust writing competition for children of primary school age.
The challenge is, to write a story of no more than 500 words.
The story can be about absolutely ANYTHING and can be set anywhere you like… In space, the jungle, at school, underwater, in a shop.
There’s just one VERY simple rule: YOU are the main character, and you have to use your REAL FIRST NAME.
You can take part as a class or enter individually.
The deadline is 5pm on Monday 21st May 2018.
Five winners will get the chance to see their entry turned into a printed one-off book – with their name on the cover!
For further details and the address for sending your entries, please visit
The BookTrust
Good luck!
